For the lovers of pecan flavored desserts, here’s the mother of them all. Creamy pecan on a biscuit base that exudes of butter, indulge in our homemade Pecan Pie and feel the flavor of ecstasy. We have a certain bias toward desserts that are created with condensed milk. Just because of the way it has the sweet power to instantly lift the mood. It’s simple to make, doesn’t require any special ingredients and our recipe will help you create this delicacy in a jiffy. One thing to remember for the evening when you’re serving this: no matter what you serve prior to this, this pie is going to be what your guests will take away with them. Only in their memory though, since there’s going to be none left literally.
PREP 60 mins
Inactive Time: 3-8 hours
3 packets digestive biscuits of your choice (crushed)
150g butter (melted)
1 tin condensed milk
3 egg yolks
3 cups Pecans
1 tablespoon sugar
LETS COOK IT UP!
First, preheat the oven to 160 degrees C. Mix the crushed biscuits with the melted butter and press into the base of a tart tin. Bake this in the oven for 10 mins and then set aside to cool.
Now, in a bowl, beat the egg yolks and then add the condensed milk, pecans, and sugar and mix together until thoroughly combined. Pour this filling into the tart tin over the cooled base and bake for 15 mins. Once it has baked, chill for 3-8 hours in the refrigerator.
To serve, remove the pie onto a serving plate.
