BEEF BURRITO WITH RICE AND BEANS

An easy meal to assemble on a night when you are too lazy to do anything extravagant, here’s presenting our recipe of the beef burrito with beans and rice. Although, there is extravagance in this, it lies in the taste. The juicy delight of beef, accompanied by brown beans and Spanish rice is just heavenly in taste and satisfying in its wholesomeness. Just pick a time when you feel like spinning out some magic, without the time consuming effort of slaving it out in the kitchen and this is the day you will make this burrito. Follow our easy to make recipe and dish out a refreshing meal for your family.

PREP 40 mins

SERVES 4-6

INGREDIENTS

1/2 kg ground beef
1 packet black beans
8 tortillas
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chilli powder
½ teaspoon chilli flakes
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 cup Spanish/ long grain rice
3 cups salsa
2 cups water
1 cup cheddar cheese
4 jalapeno peppers

LETS COOK IT UP!

First, preheat the oven to 176 degrees C. Cook the rice according to the instructions. Once cooked, mix 1 cup of salsa with the cooked rice and set aside. Now, season the beef with all the spices and brown it in a pan with the olive oil. Once browned, mix in the beans and cook further until the beans are cooked through. Now, take off gas and mix in the cheese and rice.

Spread out all the tortillas and generously fill with the above mixture. Roll each tortilla and place on a lightly greased oven tray. Bake for 15 mins. Serve hot with a jalapeno and salsa.
