Try it once and you and family will keep coming back for more. Originally called Galletes in Brittany, France, these crepes are the healthier, but equally tasty option to the regular crepes. There are plenty of filling options, eggs, cheese, chicken, ham, vegetables, etc. Our personal favourite is the poached apple and pear filling. It’s simply delicious. Take your pick since they all work well to create an incredibly tasting and filling meal. Another big plus is that they are super easy to make. PREP 20 mins
5 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup buckwheat flour
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 3/4 cups whole milk
3 large egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
LETS COOK IT UP!
In a non stick pan, melt 5 tablespoons of butter.
Now, take the melted butter, both flours, milk, eggs and salt and blend it in a blender until smooth in texture.
Let the batter lie at room temperature for a minimum of 1 hour. Stir in the finely chopped parsley.
Now, heat the skillet, add a little butter and pour the batter in a circular fashion on the skillet.
Brown on both sides and serve hot. Repeat with each pancake.
Note: If you decide to go with a serving, wrap it in between the pancake and serve.
