Thinking of a Sunday breakfast treat for the family? Look no further. Nothing signifies weekend treats more than pancakes and our easy to make pancakes topped with berries will keep your family in a jolly mood all Sunday long. The colour of the berries is a treat for the eyes; the succulent pancakes bring delight through every bite. Reigning supreme in popularity, pancakes are a favourite across generations and borders. Almost always, this one turns into a family favourite that you will have to serve up on demand ever so often. Enjoy the delight of close family bonding created solely through your cooking.

PREP 20 mins

SERVES 8 (if each one eats one…highly unlikely)


2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups milk
2 cups whipped cream
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
1 box fresh strawberries
1 box fresh raspberries
1 box fresh blueberries


Take a large bowl and sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together until completely mixed.

In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk and melted butter until smooth. With your fingers, create a hole in the centre of the first bowl with the dry ingredients and pour in the egg mixture.

Mix well until thorough combined and smooth like a batter.

Take a pan and place it on medium heat.

Line it with butter and pour the about ½ cup of the batter onto the pan making a circular shape.

Flip side after one side has browned and brown on the other side.

Place the ready pancake onto a plate, glaze with butter and top if off with an assortment of washed berries.

Serve hot. Repeat with each pancake.
