CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE CAKE

Who doesn’t love chocolate? This moist creamy and chocolatey cake makes a perfect holiday indulgence.

SERVES 16

INGREDIENTS

2 cups milk
1 cup butter
8 ounces chocolate
3 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2-2/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

FOR THE FILLING

6 tablespoons butter, cubed
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate
2-1/2 cups  sugar
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

FOR THE GANACHE

10 ounces chocolate
2/3 rd cup whip cream

LETS COOK IT UP!

In a sauce pan, add the milk butter and chocolate, and heat until it melts and you get a uniform consistency.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees C.

In a bowl whisk together the remaining ingredients. Add the Chocolate mix and bake for 25 minutes.

In another sauce pan melt the butter and sugar for the filling. Stir in sugar and cream until smooth.

For the ganache just combine the chocolate and the cream.

Place the filling in between the layer of cakes. And add the ganache on top.

Once completed with the remaining chocolate grate the shavings and add them on the cake.
