NACHOS WITH CHEESE

Love this combination of the tortillas with the cheese dip. You can always add a few herbs or even jalapenos to spice things up.

PREP 30 minutes

SERVES 5

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE CHIPS
1 cup cooking oil
12 corn tortillas
salt
herbs as per taste

FOR THE CHEESE
2 tbs butter
2 tbs flour
1 cup milk
7 slices processed American cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt

LETS COOK IT UP!

To get the perfect chips we need to dry the tortillas. This can be done by leaving them exposed overnight or microwaving them for 60 seconds.

Cut the tortillas in triangles. Of one tortilla 6 chips can be made.

Take some oil in a pan and heat the oil. Fry the corn tortillas for 2 minutes until they change color.

Remove from the pan and put salt and herbs of your choice as per taste.

In a medium pan add the butter and flour and stir. Add the milk and cook until it thickens. Add the cheese and salt and cook until all the ingredients are well blended.

Serve the chips with the hot cheese dip.
